Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede is a dinner theater and Wild West Revue created and owned by Dolly Parton and The Dollywood Company, a branch of the Herschend Family Entertainment Corporation.  Essentially visitors receive a “home cooked” meal of a whole rotisserie chicken, hickory smoked barbecue pork loin, creamy vegetable soup, homemade biscuit, corn on the cob, herb-basted baked potato, an iced apple turnover, and unlimited Pepsi, tea, or coffee, which they eat without utensils while a show with 32 horses, dozens of cast members, ostrich races, pig races, and a live buffalo unfolds in the arena before them.

I have no idea when this promotional Magic 8 Ball was created for the Dixie Stampede.  They have opened three locations (Pigeon Forge, Tennessee (1988), Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (1992), and Branson, Missouri (1995)), and guests do exit through a souvenir shop, so there are plenty of options.  If you acquired one of these Magic 8 Balls directly from the Dixie Stampede, please comment and share any details you may have.

Unfortunately, Dolly chose not to spring for some quality Wild West, or even Southern, Magic 8 Ball answers .  Instead, they went for the generic answers offered by the manufacturer:

I’ve been trying my darndest to track down the Chinese manufacturing company that uses these 20 default answers.  I’ve found literally hundreds of promotional item companies offering them, but none have been willing to give up the manufacturer’s name or contact info.  If you happen to know and could share it via comment or email I’d be eternally grateful.
