Despite the eBay logo on the top of this small Magic 8 Ball, and the fact that I actually purchased it on eBay, I honestly don’t believe it was ordered by the company itself. Rather I have a feeling a third party, though possibly an employee or seller, had these custom eBay Magic 8 Balls made.
I’ve been around eBay since it’s inception in 1995 as a buyer, seller, and occasional consultant. As such I’ve seen and even received literally hundreds of different promotional items created by the company. None of them have ever failed to reproduce the official logo in full-color whenever possible. Additionally, they generally are of the highest quality available as well, but not only did the purchaser choose the smaller 7 cm/2.75 inch size, but they also didn’t order any custom answers, opting for the orb answers instead. Finally, it came in a generic blank white box as well.
As mentioned above, this Magic 8 Ball comes with the Standard Promo Answers-
- Absolutely
- Answer Unclear Ask Later
- Can’t Say Now
- Chances Aren’t Good
- Cannot Foretell Now
- Consult Me Later
- Don’t Bet On It
- Focus And Ask Again
- Indications Say Yes
- Looks Like Yes
- No
- No Doubt About It
- Positively
- Prospect Good
- So It Shall Be
- The Stars Say No
- Unlikely
- Very Unlikely
- Yes
- You Can Count On It
I have no idea when this custom Magic Eight Ball was manufactured, or why. If you have any further details, please leave a comment below!
