According to one of my favorite online toy shops, Entertainment Earth, Mattel will be releasing not one, not two, but three new licensed Magic 8 Balls this month.
October 2009 may just go down in history as the biggest month ever for Magic 8 Ball fans. Or, depending on your personal tastes it may not. But there’s no arguing that two new Disney Magic 8 Ball variations and yet another Spongebob Squarepants is big news no matter how you shake it.
2009 SpongeBob SquarePants Magic 8 Ball
First up is yet another Spongebob Squarepants Magic 8 Ball. This is (at least) the fourth release of an official Spongebob Magic 8 Ball. First there was the mysterious blue one I’ve only seen a picture of, then in 2005 the all yellow Magic 8 Ball with the small logo and Spongebob, and then just last year the full face w/ pants yellow and brown Spongebob Magic 8 Ball.

Disney-Pixar Toy Story Talking Magic 8 Ball
Next, straight from Woody’s Roundup we have the Disney-Pixar’s Toy Story Talking Magic 8 Ball! Now, it’s no secret that I’m not much of a fan of talking Magic 8 Balls, but this one’s sure to be a hit with Toy Story fans of all ages. Just ask a question, pull the string, and hear Woody answer.

Disney Wizards Of Waverly Place Magic 8 Ball
Last, but not least, my favorite of the bunch: the Disney Wizards of Waverly Place Magic 8 Ball. Hot on the heels of the Ask Alex Fortune Ball (straight out of the Disney Channel TV show) comes this great new purple Magic 8 Ball. I’ve already got mine on order and can’t wait to see what advice Alex has for me.
